Brigham Young, second LDS Prophet, said, "Who can tell us of the inhabitants of this little planet that shines of an evening, called the Moon?... When you inquire about the inhabitants of that sphere you find that the most learned are as ignorant in regard to them as the most ignorant of their fellows. So it is with regard to the inhabitants of the sun. Do you think it is inhabited? I rather think it is. Do you think there is any life there? No question about it; it was not made in vain" (J. of D., Vol. XIII, p. 271). Young also said, "I have never yet preached a sermon and sent it out to the children of men, that they may not call Scripture" (Ibid., p. 95). This "scripture" about men on the moon as well as the sun by Brigham Young ought to raise eyebrows about Brigham Young's inspired messages.
Oliver B. Huntington, a devout LDS contemporary of Joseph Smith, said that Smith taught, "The inhabitants of the moon are more of a uniform size than the inhabitants of the earth, being six feet in height. They dress very much like the Quaker style and are quite general in style or fashion of dress. They live to be very old; coming generally; near a thousand years. This is the description of them as given by Joseph (Smith) the Seer, and he could see whatever he asked the Father in the name of Jesus to see" (Journal of Oliver B. Huntington, Vol. II, p. 166). That is not what the astronauts found when they went to the moon!
EARTH TO BE A CELESTIAL SUN. It is my opinion that the great stars that we see, including our sun, are celestial worlds; at least worlds that have passed on to their exaltation or other final resurrected status. This is in conflict, of course, with the teachings of scientific men, who declare that the sun is losing its energy and gradually cooling off and will eventually be a dead world. I do not believe the Lord has any such thing in his plan. The Lord lives in "everlasting burnings" we are informed. President Brigham Young has said that this earth when it is celestialized will shine like the sun, and why not?
"If the people could fully understand this matter," he said, "they would perceive that it is perfectly reasonable and has been the law of all worlds. And this world, so benighted at present, and so lightly esteemed by infidels, as observed by Brother Clements, when it becomes celestialized, it will be like the sun, and be prepared for the habitation of the saints, and be brought back into the presence of the Father and the Son. It will not then be an opaque body as it now is, but it will be like the stars of the firmament, full of light and glory; it will be a body of light. John compared it, in its celestialized state, to a sea of glass."

Every planet in the first rude, organic state receives not the glory of God upon it, but is opaque; but when celstialized, every planet that God brings into existence is a body of light, but not till then.

What! Is the earth [alive] too? If it were not, how could
the words of our text be fulfilled, where it speaks of the earth’s dying? How

that all matter is actually alive.
There is life in all matter, throughout the vast extent of
all eternities; it is in the rock, the sand, the dust, in water, air, the
gases, and, in short, in every description and organization of matter, whether
it be solid, liquid, or gaseous, particle operating with particle. - Prophet
Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, v. 3, p. 277 Our Sun actually gets its
light from Kolob, not from itself (see Joseph Smith's Fascimile 2, Figure 5
explanation).
The explanation for Facsimile 2, Figure 5 states that the
Sun is said to "borrow it light from Kolob through the medium of
Kae-e-vanrash".: Is called in Egyptian Enish-go-on-dosh; this is one of
the governing planets also, and is said by the Egyptians to be the Sun, and to
borrow its light from Kolob through the medium of Kae-e-vanrash, which is the
grand Key, or, in other words, the governing power, which governs fifteen other
fixed planets or stars, as also Floeese or the Moon, the Earth and the Sun in
their annual revolutions. This planet receives its power through the medium of
Kli-flos-is-es, or Hah-ko-kau-beam, the stars represented by numbers 22 and 23,
receiving light from the revolutions of Kolob." (FAIR:Relationship between
Kolob and the Sun). Planets are born from their parents.
Where did the earth come from? From its parent
earths.-Apostle Heber C. Kimball, Journal of Discourses, v. 6, p. 36. The Earth
has a spirit also.
Some say the earth exists without spirit; I do not believe
any such thing; it has a spirit as much as anybody has a spirit.- Apostle Heber

to the Earth. Man will never go into space or ever get there.
May 14, 1961 -Joseph Fielding Smith, then President of the
Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and a sustained prophet, seer and revelator of
the Mormon church, announced in a stake conference in Honolulu: "We will
never get a man into space. This earth is man's sphere and it was never
intended that he should get away from it.....The moon is a superior planet to
the earth and it was never intended that man should go there. You can write it
down in your books that this will never happen." The people of the Moon
are six feet tall and dress like Quakers.
As far back as 1837, I know that he said the moon was
inhabited by men and women the same as this earth, and that they lived to a
greater age than we do -- that they live generally to near the age of 1000
years."He described the men as averaging near six feet in height, and
dressing quite uniformly in something near the Quaker style. "In my
Patriarchal blessing, given by the father of Joseph the Prophet, in Kirtland,
1837, I was told that I should preach the gospel before I was 21 years of age;
that I should preach the gospel to the inhabitants upon the islands of the sea,
and to the inhabitants of the moon, even the planet you can now behold with

Kolob... is the planet nearest unto the habitation of the

What's interesting about Micah 5:2 is that it was written approximately 800 years before the birth of Jesus, while Alma 7:10 was written 1800 years after his birth. A very good comparison between a God breathed book juxtaposed a man made book
In the Journal of Wandle Mace the following is recorded:
"Joseph told them to go to Kirtland, and cleanse and purify a certain room
in the Temple, that they must kill a lamb and offer a sacrifice unto the Lord
which should prepare them to ordain Willard Richards a member of the Quorum of
the Twelve Apostles" ("Journal of Wandle Mace," p. 32,
microfilmed copy at Brigham Young University Library).
Joseph Fielding Smith said that "the law of sacrifice
will have to be restored.... Sacrifice by the shedding of blood was instituted
in the days of Adam and of necessity will have to be restored" (Doctrines
of Salvation, vol. 3, p.94).
It is interesting to note that even though the Mormon church
teaches animal sacrifice after the death of Christ, they cannot
find any support for this doctrine in the Book of Mormon. In
fact, the Book of Mormon condemns it in the strongest terms. In 3 Nephi 9:19 Jesus was supposed to have
said: "And ye shall offer up unto me no more the shedding of blood; yea,
your sacrifices and your burnt offerings shall be done away, for I will accept
none of your sacrifices and your burnt offerings."
It will be necessary here to make a few observations on the
doctrine set forth in the above quotation [Malachi 3:3], and it is generally
supposed that sacrifice was entirely done away when the Great Sacrifice {i.e.,
the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus} was offered up, and that there will be no
necessity for the ordinance of sacrifice in future: but those who assert this
are certainly not acquainted with the duties, privileges and authority of the
priesthood, or with the Prophets.
The offering of sacrifice has ever been connected and forms
a part of the duties of the Priesthood. It began with the Priesthood, and will
be continued until after the coming of Christ, from generation to generation.
We frequently have mention made of the offering of sacrifice by the servants of
the Most High in ancient days, prior to the law of Moses; which ordinances will
be continued when the Priesthood is restored with all its authority, power and
blessings. . . .
These sacrifices, as well as every ordinance belonging to
the Priesthood, will, when the Temple of the Lord shall be built, and the sons
of Levi be purified, be fully restored and attended to in all their powers,
ramifications, and blessings. This ever did and ever will exist when the powers
of the Melchisedic Priesthood are sufficiently manifest; else how can the
restitution of all things spoken of by the holy Prophets be brought to pass? It
is not to be understood that the law of Moses will be established again with
all its rites and variety of ceremonies; this has never been spoken of by the
Prophets; but those things which existed prior to Moses' day, namely,
sacrifice, will be continued.
It may be asked by some, what necessity for sacrifice, since
the Great Sacrifice was offered? In answer to which, if repentance, baptism,
and faith existed prior to the days of Christ, what necessity for them since
that time? The Priesthood has descended in a regular line from father to son,

to the question: "Will there ever be any more offering of sheep and
heifers and bullocks upon altars, as used to be required of Israel?"
He said: "Yes, there will; for there were never any
rites, ordinances of laws in the priesthood of any gospel dispensation upon
this earth but what will have to be finished and perfected in this last
dispensation of time—the dispensation of all dispensations." (Hyrum L.

RESTORATION OF BLOOD SACRIFICES. We are living in the
dispensation of the fulness of times into which all things are to be gathered,
and all things are to be restored since the beginning. Even this earth is to be
restored to the condition which prevailed before Adam's transgression. 44 Now
in the nature of things, the law of sacrifice will have to be restored, or all
things which were decreed by the Lord would not be restored. It will be
necessary, therefore, for the sons of Levi, who offered the blood sacrifices
anciently in Israel, to offer such a sacrifice again to round out and complete
this ordinance in this dispensation. Sacrifice by the shedding of blood was
instituted in the days of Adam and of necessity will have to be restored. 45
The sacrifice of animals will be done to complete the
restoration when the temple spoken of is built; at the beginning of the
millennium, or in the restoration, blood sacrifices will be performed long
enough to complete the fulness of the restoration in this dispensation.
Afterwards sacrifice will be of some other character.
